Living Your Moksha – Week #4 Challenge – SANGHA SUPPORT

Sangha is a word meaning “association”, “assembly,” “company” or “community”.  More specifically, sangha refers to a community of people supporting each other as individuals on a unique mission to find our true nature.

We all lead busy lives in one form or another and many of us tend to feel and/or act like we live in our very own world.  We lose connection to others and become more isolated.  This is the opposite of Sangha’s true meaning.  We need to try to become more involved with our community, or more specifically, we can begin by becoming more involved with our families.  Re-connecting with our loved ones.  Yoga helps individuals to focus on themselves, to be at peace with oneself.  The cool thing is that when we start to work on ourselves, even just by getting more fit, we start to be happier, we start to have more fun, and naturally we start to have a more healthy sense of the world as one big old community.

Your challenge this week is to be a part of your community.  How do you do this?  By performing random acts of kindness.  You can also supersize your challenge by bringing a friend to yoga and dedicating your practice each day to somebody you’ve never met in class.  This week looks like it’s shaping up to be an interesting one…
